LU DRRM Officers, Practitioners Braced for RDANA Updates

In order to provide Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) officers and practitioners with necessary knowledge and skills in conducting immediate assessment on possible damages, losses and needs of the community in times of a disaster or eventualities, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) partnered with the Office of Civil Defense Region 1 as they conducted a four-day training on Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) for the Province of La Union on May 9-12, 2023 at the La Union Peace, Order and Safety-Emergency Operation Center, City of San Fernando, La Union.
A total of 47 participants from the Provincial, Local DRRM Offices and Philippine Red Cross La Union Chapter completed the said training course.
Discussions included were Introduction to RDANA; Concept of Operations; Mobilization; Methodologies; and Preparation for RDANA Deployment. Participants were also given different scenarios for their field exercise wherein they experienced the conduct of RDANA on disaster-impacted sites using the lessons learned from the training.
The PGLU continues to capacitate and upgrade responders skills and knowledge for #AlertoKaprobinsiaan.
