La Union’s eRPTS Draws Interest from Calamba City in Benchmarking Visit

The Office of the Provincial Assessor (OPAss) of the Provincial Government of La Union welcomed the City Assessor’s Office of Calamba, Laguna for a benchmarking activity on April 29, 2025, highlighting La Union’s Electronic Real Property Taxation System (eRPTS), a digital innovation that has significantly modernized real property assessment and taxation in the province.

The delegation, led by Calamba City Assessor Graciano G. Aldabe, was given a comprehensive briefing by Provincial Assessor Engr. Arnulfo A. Cacho and Local Assessment Operations Officer I June H. Ramos on the development, core features, and real-world impact of the eRPTS, which is widely recognized for its efficiency and practical application across all municipalities of La Union.

Impressed by the system’s comprehensive capabilities, the Calamba team expressed interest in adopting similar solutions to enhance their own operations and service delivery.

The delegation also had a tour around the Provincial Capitol by the La Union Provincial Tourism Office and welcomed by Assistant Provincial Administrator Engr. Robert Lelina.

The benchmarking activity underscored OPAss’s leadership in digital transformation and emphasized the importance of collaboration between Local Government Units in promoting efficient, technology-driven governance.
