La Union and Nueva Vizcaya Collaborate on Best Legislative Practices for Enhanced Service Delivery

The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya has sought to learn from the best legislative practices of La Union through a benchmarking and collaborative activity held on April 28, 2023.
The delegation of the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, headed by Vice Governor Jose Gambito and 10 other Board Members, was welcomed by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David and Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega at the La Union Provincial Capitol.
After a capitol tour, welcome program and gala lunch, the delegation learned about La Union's Legislative Information System, Paperless Session Practice, and notable ordinances of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of La Union. An open forum followed for more detailed exchange of experiences and clarifications.
Both provinces are hoping to enhance their support for each other’s efforts in learning and implementing best practices and improve the lives of their constituents in the respective provinces.
As part of their two-day visit, the Nueva Vizcaya delegation visited other tourist sites in the province.
Gearing towards transformative governance, the PGLU remains committed to building a strong collaboration with other Provincial Governments to uphold the delivery of efficient and excellent service to every Kaprobinsiaan that will spur mutual progress and development which is vital towards the realization of La Union’s vision to become the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
