Gov. Rafy Brings #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan to 25 Barangays in Rosario in 1 Day; Distributes 200 High-Vis-Vest to BPATs for Peace, Order

Continuing the Peace and Order legacy of Governors Manoling and Pacoy, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica Ortega-David in partnership with the Philippine National Police - La Union Police Provincial Office led by PCOL Lambert Suerte jointly spearheaded the distribution of a total of 200 high visibility vest to Barangay Tanods of 25 barangays in the Municipality of Rosario, La Union on April 25, 2023 to provide support in the reinforcement of peace, order and security in the province.

The activity endeavors to capacitate the Barangay Peacekeeping and Action Teams (BPAT) of every community to ensure that they are protected and safe while performing their duties in maintaining peace and order in their respective area of responsibility. Among the first 25 barangays visited by Gov. Rafy were Rabon, Bani, Damortis, Nagtagaan, Amlang, Benteng Sapilang, Gumot, Bacani, Tanglag, Carunoan West, Marcos, Parasapas, Cataguingtingan, Tabtabungao, Concepcion, Poblacion West, Cadumanian, Carunoan East, Vila, Poblacion East, Subusub, Udiao, Camp One, Bangar, and Tay-ac

As one of Gov. Rafy’s main thrust, she continues to push for maintained peace and order through #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan with the commitment to safeguard the community through the concerted effort of different stakeholders and continuous cooperation of local government units and law enforcement agencies.

The distribution of high visibility vest will continue to different barangays in La Union as the PGLU continues to recognize the significant role and relentless efforts of barangay tanods in the preservation of peace, order, and public safety in the province through pushing initiatives that increase their efficiency and productivity in their functions which remains a vital component in attaining sustainable growth and the vision to position La Union to become the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
