From Tiny Steps to Big Dreams: PGLU Holds Moving Up Rites for Child Development Center

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), held its annual Moving Up Ceremony for the early childhood learners enrolled at the PGLU Employees’ Child Development Center at the La Union Convention Center, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.
With the theme, “Munting Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan,” the event marked a significant milestone for fourteen young learners aged 3 to 5 as they took their first steps on their educational journey. Accompanied by their proud parents and guardians, the ceremony celebrated their growth, learning, and development during these formative years.
PSWDO Head Ranilo P. Ipac emphasized the importance of family in shaping children’s values and character, noting that a loving and guided home builds confident and responsible individuals.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David affirmed the importance of the continued presence of parents and guardians for the development of the children. “Congratulations po sa lahat ng ating parents and guardians for all your efforts, for showing up for your children… we also celebrate the unwavering dedication of our teachers and staff,” the governor said as she gave tribute to the learners’ family and the PSWDO for a job well done.
Through this meaningful celebration, the PGLU shows its commitment to nurturing early childhood development and strengthening family involvement in raising well-rounded and resilient ELYUcanong Kabataan.
