Promising times ahead for the province as representatives from the Presidential Commission on Visiting Forces (PCVF) led by Ms. April Sarmiento, Development Management Officer II met with Gov. Raphaelle "Rafy" Veronica Ortega-David for a consultation meeting and courtesy call on June 13, 2023, at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The meeting underscored the PCVF's mission to engage in vital discussions with local government agencies and stakeholders, including the City Government of San Fernando and counterparts from Naval Forces Northern Luzon (NAVFORNOL), setting the stage for the forthcoming Pacific Partnership 2023.
Pacific Partnership, a prestigious annual mission sponsored by the US Indo-Pacific Command and executed by the US Pacific Fleet, embodies mutual cooperation through its focus areas - Engineering, Host Nation Outreach Events, Medical, and Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Response.
Also present in the meeting were Provincial Administrator Agnes Grace A. Cargamento of the PGLU as well as Development Management Officer II John Louise Garcia and Development Management Officer I Daphne Lorraine Cortez of the PCVF.
La Union is proud to contribute to this critical initiative, aligning with the thrust of the La Union PROBINSYAnihan and the P.U.S.O. Agenda.
