Fostering sportsmanship and good camaraderie, more than hundred participating off-roaders from 84 competing teams who are joining the first ever Rafy Rainforest Challenge (RFC): 4×4 Off-road convened in a welcome dinner hosted by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David on March 28, 2023 at Thunderbird Resort, City of San Fernando, La Union.

To rationalize and control measures for preventing and eradicating animal bites and rabies cases in the province, the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVet) in partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) conducts Rabies Awareness Program and Information Education Campaign participated by students and educators from the La Union National High School.

Continuous women empowerment through collaborative work while recognizing their crucial role in the society were the highlights of the Philippine National Police – La Union Police Provincial Office (PNP-LUPPO) Culmination Ceremony of the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration on March 27, 2023 at Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union. Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker in the event.

Hundreds of students from the first and second districts of La Union convened in the opening program of the 2023 Division Athletic Meet and Curriculum Exposition conducted on March 27, 2023, with the theme “Sports for Life: Enhancing the LUSD Mantra in Action” at Bauang North Central School, Bauang, La Union.

“I challenge all of us to level up our public service and to also level up in upholding peace and order in our respective provinces and in the entire region. Be assured, my fellow Peace and Order Council members, that our joint forces are strong and that together, we will remain united in purpose, and that is to protect the freedom and liberty of everyone here in Region 1,” stated Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David who officially took oath as the new chairperson of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) Region 1 as she presided the first quarter meeting today, March 23, 2023 at the Ariana Hotel in Bauang, La Union.
