Ortega III together with the Department of Health โ Center for Health Development I (DOH-CHD I) Regional Director Dir. Paula Paz M. Sydiongco, MD, MPH, CESO IV had a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Universal Health Care โ Integration Site (UHC-IS) in La Union on March 1, 2022 at the Provincial Capitol โ the first in Region I. The importance of signing the document means the Province of La Union will be provided with additional technical and financial support from the National Government for the implementation of the UHC. This sealed partnership opens doors for the achievement of an integrated province-wide health system.
In celebration of 172nd La Union Foundation Anniversary, the Search for the Cleanest, Safest, and Greenest Local Government Unit in the Province of La Union officially kicked off on March 1, 2022 in Sudipen, La Union.
With an average of 83.03%, 24-year-old Dr. Maria Salvacion R. Dacio of Brgy. Central East No. 1 Bangar, La Union was Top 2 among 731 passers of the January/March 2022 Dentist Licensure Examination (DLE). Dr. Dacio is a graduate of the 6-year Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Baguio.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Province of La Union has approved a resolution that authorizes Governor Francisco Emmanuel โPacoyโ R. Ortega III to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) in support for the establishment of the DMMMSU College of Medicine in the province, as well as enhancement of the existing DMMMSU College Community Health and Allied Medical Science.
