With the primary aim for a clean, peaceful and safe elections, the distribution of Commission on Election (COMELEC) 2022 Official Ballots has commenced today, May 2, 2022 at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘀, 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Ilang buwan matapos maipamahagi ng Provincial Government of La Union, sa pangunguna ni Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III, ang 36 na Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MVPs) sa mga barangay ng Balaoan, La Union, sumailalim ang 36 na mga Baragay Officials, Health Workers at Tanod sa limang araw na First Aid and Basic Life Support (FA-BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training at Ambulance Operation upang matiyak ang kahandaan at mabilis na pag responde ng mga barangay sa iba’t-ibang klase ng emergency situations tulad ng aksidente, pangangailangan pang-medikal o kalamidad gamit ang mga nasabing mga sasakyan.

PGLU Supports DepEd Face-to-Face Classes, 389 schools to hold in-person classes this SY

With the steadfast support of the Provincial Government of La Union led by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III to the Department of Education’s Progressive Expansion of Face-to-Face classes, 389 public and private schools in the province have been approved to implement this learning modality allowing learners from kindergarten to grade 12 join limited in-person classes this school year.

With life support training as a vital life skill that provides an individual the knowledge of dealing with medical emergencies, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and Provincial Health Office (PHO) and in partnership with the Department of Health Region 1, conducted a three-day comprehensive training course on Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (SFA-BLS) for PGLU Health and Safety Officers along with some personnel of the PHO and Balaoan District Hospital. This was conducted on April 25-27, 2022 at the PDRRMO Training Hall, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗜𝗖𝗟

The Balay Namnama (Bahay Pag-asa) located in Sta. Rita, Bacnotan, La Union is set to operate and start admitting Children-in-Conflict with the Law (CICL) on May 2, 2022. In preparation for this momentous event, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office conducted an orientation for Barangay/Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (B/MCPC) officers and members including residents from the neighborhood on April 26, 2022 inside the said facility.
