With the continuous and reinforced vaccination operations in the province, the Provincial Government of La Union has launched the first pediatric mall-based vaccination center in the province inoculating a total of 170 kids on its first day of operations on March 5, 2022 at the Robinsons Place, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The said mall has decorated the vaccination area with balloons and colorful ornaments while vaccinators used props and the mall mascot was present to entice children to get the jab. Freebies were also given as a prize for the successful vaccination of the kids.

The parents of the kids who availed of the free vaccination were asked to pre-register at vaccines.launion.gov.ph which gave them a confirmation message containing their vaccine schedule. The only requirements needed are the presence of the parent or legal guardian and the childโ€™s birth certificate.

A total of 5,709 kids from the 5-11 age group has already been vaccinated as of March 6, 2022 and the PGLU continues to increase this through the #BakunaMuna Program in order to help attain herd immunity most especially now that the province is under Alert Level 1.
