The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) is taking a significant step towards digital transformation with its adoption of e-governance initiatives. Recognizing the importance of embracing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) innovations, the PGLU has undertaken a comprehensive approach to ensure a smooth transition.

In collaboration with the Office of the Provincial Administrator - Human Resource and Management Unit (OPA-HRMU) and the Office of the Provincial Governor - Information and Communications Technology Unit (OPG-ICTU), the PGLU recently conducted a Personnel Enhancement Program Talk on the PGLU Workspace System on May 4-25, 2023 to provide training and familiarize PGLU employees, including those from the district hospitals, with the newly developed system.

Developed in-house by the OPG-ICTU, the PGLU Workspace System serves as an upgraded Personnel Management Information System for the provincial government. By facilitating efficient human resource management functions and enabling paperless transactions, the system is set to revolutionize the way PGLU operates.

One of the key features of the PGLU Workspace System is its online filing capability, which allows employees to apply for clearance, Personnel Locator Slip (PLS), and leave electronically. Additionally, the system includes administrative tools for attendance monitoring, enabling quick preparation of personnel discipline reports. It also provides collaboration tools for effective monitoring of deliverables, enhancing overall productivity within the government offices.

As the digital landscape rapidly evolves, the PGLU remains committed in #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan by providing cutting-edge ICT solutions to deliver high-quality services to its kaprobinsiaan.
