La Union Sprinter Frederick Ramirez of Brgy. Ubagan, Santo Tomas dashed his way to clinch the bronze medal in the men's 400-meter run during the Southeast Asian Games held in Cambodia from May 5-17, 2023.
This is the fourth time that the 25-year old La Union athlete represented the country and the province in an international competition. Ramirez also contributed to the triumph of the Philippine athletics team after capturing the 31st gold medal in the SEA Games men's 4x400-meter relay. His teammates were Umajesty Williams, Michael Del Prado, and Joyme Sequita.
The Provincial Government of La Union led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David takes pride in the outstanding achievement of Mr. Ramirez. As he continues to reach greater heights in his athletic pursuits, let us wish him success on his future endeavors and may he continue to be an inspiration to our fellow Kaprobinsiaan.
