La Union: Probinsyang Nagbabayanihan

The Provincial Government of La Union, together with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency, conducted the Institutionalization of Volunteerism as a Development Strategy Training Workshop on May 4, 2023.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David highly regarded this activity as it emphasized the importance of volunteerism in order to attain the goals of the province and to empower the camaraderie between all kaprobinsiaan. The activity served as a platform to discuss volunteerism in a deeper sense. Basic Concept of Volunteerism and its status in the province were discussed. Initiatives of La Union towards volunteerism were also tackled, presenting its vital position to build a harmonious community.
As a Volunteer La Union Lifeguard and a Volunteer Rescue Technician, Gov. Rafy expressed her warm support towards the advocacy. “As we conduct this training-workshop, sana ay mas malinang pa yung knowledge natin regarding volunteerism and ma-imbibe pa natin ang mga ito for us to further empower volunteerism here in La Union,” Gov. Rafy stated. This served as an encouragement to everyone to join together in volunteering and giving service to the kaprobinsiaan to answer the call for #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan.
