Gov. Rafy Emphasizes Importance of Reliability among Gov't Employees; Administers Mass Oath-taking, Recognition of Employees

The whole Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) looks forward to the monthly First Monday Flag-raising Ceremony as it marks a new beginning for the PGLU Community.
Earlier today, May 8, 2023, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David led the first Monday flag raising ceremony for the month of May. Attended by PGLU employees, the ceremony resounded the value of reliability that everyone must exert as public servants.
In her message, Gov. Rafy reiterated the value of reliability among the PGLU employees. She emphasized how each employee plays a vital role in providing the services that the public expects from the government. Gov. Rafy encouraged everyone to work together and deliver their best to fulfill their duties.
To highlight the province's commitment to quality service, Gov. Rafy administered the mass oath-taking of 20 newly appointed PGLU employees. She reminded them to be reliable at all times and to uphold their responsibilities as public servants.
From the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, newly appointed employees were Nicholas G. Perlas, Provincial Government Assistant Department Head; Zenaida D. Sellem, Social Welfare Officer IV; Roelita C. Asprin, Administrative Officer IV; Lerma L. Navarro, Social Welfare Officer I; Edwin S. Corpuz, Social Welfare Aide; Jeffrey F. Gomez, Social Welfare Aide; Christine C. Deang, Social Welfare Aide; Rhoda C. Fontanilla, Social Welfare Aide; Lorna D. Nieveras, Social Welfare Aide; and John O. Apilado, Administrative Aide I.
From the Environment and Natural Resources Office, Diana E. Jutba, Senior Environmental Management Specialist; Jorrainne Nor P. Rasay, Environmental Management Specialist II; Marvin O. Aquino, Environmental Management Specialist I; and Lourmie B. Cabanela, Administrative Aide IV.
From the Provincial General Services Office, Rhoman G. Rimando, Administrative Officer V; and Gerlyn C. Laconsay, Laborer I.
From the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Ric A. Nisperos and Efren A. Pulido Jr., both Administrative Aide IV.
From Bacnotan District Hospital, Adonis N. Abenojar and from the Office of the Provincial Treasurer, Kimberly Frances N. Marquez both as Laborer I.
Further, Filma A. Salazar, a retiring employee from the Office of the Provincial Assessor, was acknowledged for her contributions during her 41 years of service in the PGLU. Gov. Rafy thanked her for her unwavering service and commitment to the people of La Union throughout the years.
The first Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of the PGLU is an activity that reminds employees of their mutual responsibility to provide quality service to the people of La Union. It is also an opportunity to foster a sense of community and instill La Union PROBINSYAnihan among workers as they take part in the realization of the vision for La Union to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
