As the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) transitions to the 2nd Quarter of the year, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David encourages the PGLU employees to celebrate, renew and heal.
During the PGLU flag raising ceremony spearheaded by Gov. Rafy, she thanked the PGLU Community for their efforts that led to the resounding success of the #AyatFest2023. She likewise acknowledged the exemplary performance of the OPG-ICTU for gaining 2nd place and a Special Citation under the Provincial Level in the Digital Governance Awards (DGA) 2022 with the Find Jobs La Union Employment Portal. With this, celebrating big and small wins embark on a more driven public service and transformative governance.
Gov. Rafy also led a moment of pause for the passing of two PGLU employees – Chito Carlos C. Moulic and Ma. Carmencita O. Atijera. Gov. Rafy remarked that they had contributed significantly to the PGLU with their service and commitment to the province, which truly left a mark on their sudden demise.
Mass oath-taking of 12 newly appointed PGLU employees followed. They were Dr. Rechilda A. Ariz, Dentist II and Dr. Johanna Alelie T. Flores, Dentist II from the Provincial Health Office; Amor T. Umel, Administrative Assistant I and Ana Maureen A. Ambalong, Administrative Officer IV from the Office of the Provincial Administrator (OPA); Sunshine M. Dela Cruz, Development Management Officer II of the OPG – Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit (OPG-LEEIPU); Francis Michael C. Eslava, Administrative Officer V of the Provincial General Services Office; Christy G. Corpuz, Local DRRM Officer II, David Ken F. Salamanca, Local DRRM Officer III, and Bryan C. Joves, Local DRRM Officer III from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO); Vincent John P. Lopez, Laborer I of the Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO); John Kristofer T. Salvador, Laborer I and Samuel David A. Ortega, Laborer I from the Office of the Provincial Governor (OPG).
Moreover, Marvin Q. Rivera, a retiring employee from the PG-ENRO, was acknowledged for his notable and significant contributions during his 4-year service in the PGLU.
Indeed, a strengthened PGLU workforce translates to a dynamic establishment.
