Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David commenced the start of Ayat Fest 2023 carrying the theme “LU La Unay.”

The theme was derived from the province’s name La Union informally called LU which also reflects Gov. Rafy’s call for L – Love and U – Unity, two prerequisites in attaining progress and sustainable development for the province. Further, La Unay means ‘very much’ or ‘abundance of’ which translates the theme LU La Unay to ‘Very much La Union with Abundance of Love and Unity’.

In her message, Gov. Rafy emphasized how Ayat Fest mirrors the core foundation of what unites the province – LOVE for one another and LOVE for La Union.

“Nababagay po ito sa ating selebrasyon dahil sumasalamin po ito sa ayat o sa love natin para sa ating probinsya na siyang nagbubuklod-buklod sa ating magkakaprobinsiaan,” Gov. Rafy said during as she welcomed the kaprobinsiaan in kick-off activities of Ayat Fest 2023.
