La Union's Festive Anniversary Celebration Returns, Launches Ayat Fest 2023

The most awaited festive celebration for La Union's Founding Anniversary (LUFA) makes a grand comeback in its 173rd year. After the two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, LUFA makes its spectacular return this year with the title "Ayat Fest 2023: the 173rd La Union Founding Anniversary" carrying the theme "LU La Unay."
Ayat Fest 2023 is not just a festivity, it is a clamor for La Unionโs environmental protection and a celebration of identity, inclusivity, development, and innovations. A continuous call for La Union PROBINSYAnihan.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David anticipated that the kaprobinsiaan waited for this year's celebration, hence, assuring that Ayat Fest activities and events are something new, thrilling, and full of entertainment while still incorporating the traditional ones that depict the identity and custom of La Union and its people.
The series of various anniversary activities will run from February 25 to May 28, 2023. The activities include Tournaments, Exhibitions, Beauty Pageant, Variety Shows, Food Fests, Thanks Giving, and a lot more.
Among the much-anticipated events are the Coronation of Mutia ti La Union, SaLU-SALO Agri-Tourism Fair, Parade of Lights, Car Shows, La Union Loop Fun Ride, Battle of the Bands, Ayat Competition, Shoot Fest, Basketball Cup, Grappling Cup, Color Fun Run, Enduro Race, 4x4 Offroad Challenge, and Skills Olympics.
The highlights of the Ayat Fest 2023 are the events on March 2, 2023 in Baywalk, Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union. Kaprobinsiaan will be witnessing the display of hot air balloons. A famous family of drifters will also be doing some drifting exhibitions and stances. The Philippine Army Artillery Regiment will be having their Static Display along with the Bureau of Fire Protection. These activities are first time in the province.
La Union will also be crowning its new Mutia title holder on the same date. This year's Mutia ti La Union highlights the environmental advocacies of 20 empowered young kaprobinsiaan from the different municipalities of La Union
A concert featuring the Ely Buendia will follow after the Mutia ti La Union 2023 coronation.
La Union's festive Founding Anniversary celebration is back and the Provincial Government of La Union aims to give back and honor the kaprobinsiaan for their unwavering support and efforts in establishing and sustaining the Province of La Union, making it one of the most resilient, peaceful, orderly, and progressive provinces in the country.
