CDH Mobile Blood Donation Drive Collects 66 Blood Units

Continuing its advocacy and social responsibility for voluntary blood donation, Caba District Hospital (CDH), in partnership with the Provincial Health Office and the Philippine Red Cross La Union, successfully conducted its 36th Mobile Blood Donation Drive on March 14, 2025, collecting a total of 66 blood units.

The drive drew support from CDH employees, interns, walk-ins, and representatives from the Philippine National Police and National Police Training Institute Police Regional Training Center I. Among the youngest donors were 17-year-old cousins, Aaliyah Vernice and Daemie Miele from Burgos, La Union, who set an inspiring example for youth participation in life-saving efforts.

Guided by Republic Act No. 7719 or the National Blood Services Act of 1994, CDH upholds the principle of voluntary blood donation to provide a sufficient supply of safe blood and regulate blood banks in the province.

As a quarterly activity, CDH’s Mobile Blood Donation Program plays a vital role in augmenting La Union’s blood supply and raising awareness about the importance of blood in saving KaPROBINSYAnihan in need. Through continued support and La Union PROBINSYAnihan, CDH remains one of the most active hospitals in donating blood and contributing to life-saving blood transfusions.
