To spread the love and Christmas spirit to every provincemate this Yuletide Season, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the offices under the Financial Stability Sector spearheaded a Christmas program on Friday, December 2, 2022, to let kids and kids at heart experience fun-filled activities and enjoy the early Christmas treats.
Dubbed as Peryang Probinsyanihan, the program commenced with a thanksgiving concert hosted by the Jesus Reign Ministries followed by the opening of PERyAhan. The event features a variety of exciting games enjoyed by children of different ages such as the Balloon dart, Shoot the ring, Wheel of Fortune, Bunot-Bunot, Poke a Tree and Pabitin. PGLU also treated the kids with free food and a lot of freebies. The event capped off with a snow show and a fireworks display.
Excitement among Kaprobinsiaan continued the next day, December 3, where people from the different parts of the Province flocked at the Provincial Capitol Grounds to join the whimsical Magic and Disney Night. Kids and kids at heart fulfilled their Disneyland-like dreams as they enjoyed interacting with various Disney character mascots. Various performances also wowed the crowd.
The Eastern Naguilian National High School showcased a powerful dance performance emphasizing a cultural production number. An electrifying Magic Show and Bubble Show also amazed the audience, bringing out more smiles from the Kaprobinsiaan. To end the event, the fairy tail night concluded with another snow show.
These two events were part of the month-long celebration of Pasko sa Kapitolyo (PSK) 2022. With the theme โLiwanag ng Pasko; Para sa Atin at Sa Inyo,โ PGLU aims to extend the spirit of Christmas to every Kaprobinsiaan by conducting various programs that cater to the different sectors in the province. With the said events, PGLU seeks to bring the joy of Christmas to the youth of La Union.
In a message delivered by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-David, she ensured that children in the province shall experience a delightful Christmas.
โHandog ko po ang munting regalo na ito para sa lahat ng mga bata sa ating probinsya upang lubos nilang maramdaman ang saya at tunay na diwa ng pasko. Pasko naman, kaya hayaan ninyong iparamdam namin sainyo ang kahulugan ng pagmamahalan at pagbibigayan,โ the lady governor emphasized.
As the province continues to sustain the spirit of #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, Gov. Rafy calls for a collective action for more responsible Kaprobinsiaan in celebrating Christmas. Amidst the fun celebration of PSK 2022, the youngest Governor of La Union encourages not only the youth, but also Kaprobinsian of any demographic to join hands in creating a peaceful and merry Christmas as we pursue to position La Union as the Heart of Agri-Tourism of Northern Luzon by 2025.
