To recognize the excellence and dedication of top-performing employees of the Provincial Government of La Union, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โ€œRafyโ€ Ortega-David conferred a total of 34 awards to the said employees during the Pasko ng Empleyado on December 16, 2022, at the Poro Point Baywalk, City of San Fernando, La Union. These awards served as an acknowledgment of their distinct work performance as manifested in their several accomplishments and abiding commitment to enhancing professionalism in public service.

10 awards were given to the Top Outstanding Provincial Public Servants (TOPPS) who have shown professional excellence and zealous commitment to their work by virtue of SP Ordinance No. 383-2022.

The awardees for the Executive Level Employee Category include Arthur S. Cortez Jr. of La Union Provincial Tourism Office; Arvin C. Camacho of Provincial General Services Office; and Donato A. Rimando of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP). The awardees of the Second Level Employees Category were Jane T. Flores of SP; Jeffrey B. Julian of Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH); and Chito Carlos C. Moulic of the Office of the Provincial Assessor. Lastly, the awardees of the First Level Employees Category include Marilyn G. Apilado of the Provincial Information Office; Lara Geraldine D. Bacer of SP; Myrna C. Balanon of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist; and Harold Erick M. Jamora of the Office of the Provincial Administrator (OPA).

Pursuant to the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) guidelines of the PGLU, 20 career and self-development awards were conferred to employees for their initiative toward self-development by completing a degree within or outside the country at their own expense or passing the Board exam. Lerma L. Navarro of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office was awarded for Passing the Licensure Examination. The awardees for the Completion of Bachelorโ€™s Degree were Emilia C. Preagola and Emely B. Ramos of the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

For the Completion of Post-Graduate Degree, the awardees were Raquel P. Difuntorum of the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian; Grace L. Libong of the Provincial Government - Environment and Natural Resources Office; Portia A. Garcia of PHO; Jocelyn G. Mangibin of PHO; Norma N. Tolentino of PHO; Roselyn Ann A. Pajarit of BDH; Maricar Y. Casugay of Caba District Hospital; Julie E. Costales of Naguilian District Hospital (NDH); Geraldine S. Garcia of NDH; Joseph P. Erpelo of La Union Medical Center (LUMC); Glenn Ernest M. Fonbuena of LUMC; Joanne F. Meneses of LUMC; Leana Grace G. Padua of LUMC; Ma. Teresa S. Patulot of LUMC; Mercedes L. Ucol of LUMC; Stephanie Athena C. Del Rosario of OPA; and Geraldine R. Ortega of SP.

Four Awards of Excellence were given for exceptional dedication and outstanding performance leading to national and international recognition, which has brought honor to the Province of La Union. The awarded employees include Gerry D. Binas-o of the Office of the Provincial Governor - Information and Communications Technology Unit; Michaela Louise T. Delfinado of the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator; Janet D. Molina of the Provincial Treasurer's Office; and Rowell B. Timoteo of the Office of the Provincial Governor - Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit.

Through this, the distinguished personnel were allowed to serve as an inspiration to Kaprobinsiaan for their accomplishments and exemplary performance for the year, which empowers the PGLU workforce and strengthens their enthusiasm to join the province in heeding the call for #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan for La Union to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
