PGLU, SK LU Show Support as LU Athletic Meet, Curriculum Exposition Kick-Off

Hundreds of students from the first and second districts of La Union convened in the opening program of the 2023 Division Athletic Meet and Curriculum Exposition conducted on March 27, 2023, with the theme βSports for Life: Enhancing the LUSD Mantra in Actionβ at Bauang North Central School, Bauang, La Union.
After more than two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the sports program is now in play to provide an avenue for grassroots sports. Ex-Officio Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member (SPM) Alyssa Kristine B. Sibuma attended and represented Honorable Governor Raphaelle Veronica βRafyβ Ortega-David during the said event. In the speech delivered by Hon. Sibuma, Gov. Rafy extends her heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Education - La Union Schools Division Office (LUSDO) headed by Atty. Donato D. Balderas, Jr. for the privilege to be the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the conduct of the much-anticipated comeback of the Division Athletic Meet and Curriculum Exposition. She also expressed her appreciation to the youth for their enthusiasm and interest in engaging sports events to showcase sports prowess and develop camaraderie and good sportsmanship among themselves. Governor Rafy assured that her support and prayers are with them for the success of the 2023 Division Athletic Meet.
Aside from the sports event, the Curriculum Exposition, displaying the best practices and innovations of the different public schools, was simultaneously conducted for the appreciation of guests and visitors. The rich history, culture, arts and talents of the teachers, students and the whole LUSDO took part in the different displays of educational materials inside the school embodying the LUSDO Mantra: Excellence we Profess, Care we Cultivate, Love we Share, Kindness we Embrace, Humility we Live. The exposition will run from March 27-31, 2023 at Bauang North Central School Gymnasium, Bauang, La Union.
As the SK Federation President of the Province of La Union and the SP Committee Chairperson of the Committee on Youth and Sports Development, BM Sibuma assured to continue providing support for youth empowerment and sports development and all endeavors of the education sector.
As strong support to the youth sector in the province, Board Members Hon. Cynthia Angelica M. Bacurnay, Hon. Gerard G. Ostrea and Hon. Henry B. Balbin, Municipal Mayors, Sangguniang Bayan Members and other representatives were also present during the event to show love and support to the different competing clusters.
The Provincial Government of La Union and the SK Federation of La Union continues to look forward to the comeback of more school-related activities that expose students as they discover and foster their talents and abilities that contribute to their success.
