Ayat for Pets in #AyatFest2023 Staged in La Union Pet Show 2023

The fantastic experience has been savored by the FURticipants who joined the La Union Pet show as part of the celebration of #AyatFest2023 led by the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVet) held in Robinsons Place, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Pet owners and pet enthusiasts gathered this early Sunday morning, February 26, 2023 to showcase their pets in public, where lots of amazing tricks wowed the audience and were surely enjoyed by the participants.
Gracing the event, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David underscored the love that is shared in the province that overflows to pets. "We also would like to take this opportunity to give importance din po sa mga animals po natin dito sa probinsya. Yun mga pets po natin ay tinuturing na rin po nating mga pamilya. Binibigyan po talaga natin ng significance iyong mga hayop po natin dito sa La Union."
The said show truly reflects the importance of pets to the Kaprobinsiaan, serving as their best companions and family members. Moreover, the activity aims to promote responsible pet ownership.
A total of 24 pets joined the said event. There are 17 contestants from the dog category, 3 contestants from the cat category, and 4 contestants from the most exotic pet category.
For the special awards, pet owner Reizell Santos received the most behaved pet award, Adel Andallo's unique pig pet got the Star of the Show, while Noel Estrada received the Best Owner and Pet Tandem Award.
Meanwhile, for the cat category, pet owner Kristine Ann Lagian emerged as the champion, while Aira Galano received the 2nd runner-up award and pet owner Elyna Galano got the 3rd place.
For the dog category, pet owner Noel Estrada emerged as the champion. The 2nd runner-up was Leriane Mae Dacuno and the 3rd runner-up was Ryoichi Athru Yuna Camacho.
Lastly, for the exotic category, pet owner Adel Andallo garnered the first prize. The second prize was received by Rhianna Difontorum and the 3rd prize was received by pet owner Jhune Dy.
The event was a great success not only for the remarkable talents of the pets but also for their FURents.
