The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the successful collaboration of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Information & Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) created the La Union Find Jobs Employment Portal. It is a free job application website that aims to improve the local labor and employment condition in the province covering all the municipalities/city with operating Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs). The system allows jobseekers to connect with potential employers. It is easier and more efficient to fill a job vacancy. Job postings are categorized by work type, making them easier to search.
The La Union Find Jobs Portal had its soft launching on June 23, 2021 with 689 various job vacancies available for local and overseas from the 33 different employers within La Union and nearby provinces. The system was also presented to the representatives of the Department of Labor & Employment (DOLE) and to the different LGU PESO Managers on June 11, 2021 through video conference.
The PGLU will continue to develop technology-rich innovations in providing employment services as we enter in the new normal. The La Union Jobs Portal is simple and user-friendly in which each and every Kaprobinsiaan can access the said portal.
LOOK: The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) continues to bring CoViD-19 vaccine information to the upland barangays through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) held by the Advocacy, Demand Generation, and Social Mobilization Group.
46 residents from the Municipality of Santol, La Union attended the discussion yesterday, June 10, 2021 at Barangay Sasaba. During the discussion, the residents expressed their gratefulness to the PGLU for conducting FGDs that bring credible and verified information on CoViD-19 vaccines.
Among the participants, five were vaccinated on the spot.
The Provincial Government, through the leadership of Gov. Pacoy Ortega, will continue to champion data-driven approaches in the implementation of the Bakuna Muna – La Union CoViD-19 Vaccination Program Rollout.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) convened via Zoom conference to discuss the crafting of Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures for PGLU offices. PGLUโs Pollution Control Officer Annalyn Rosario-Valdez, EnP,(PCO) presided over the EMS Committee meeting last June 10, 2021.
Series of training on ISO 14001:2015 EMS were conducted and attended by key personnel of PGLU during the month of May up to June.
Among the key initiatives discussed were the integration of the environmental management system to PGLU operations and management to maintain an environmentally friendly organization. The committee aims to set environmental procedures and standards to be implemented in all PGLU offices.
ISO 14001:2015 helps an organization achieve the intended outcomes of its environmental management system, which provide value for the environment, the organization itself and interested parties.
The said meetings were actively attended and participated by Engr. Ressie A. Estrella, Committee Head on Water Conservation and Management, Engr. Robert L. Lelina, Committee Head on Energy Conservation, Engr. Danae B. Camat, Committee Head on Chemical Management, and Mr. John Benedict C. Marasigan, Committee Head on Atmosphere.
Moving forward, EMS helps to ensure effective compliance of the Provincial Government with the environmental regulations and management of environmental risks.
The Provincial Government of La Union will continue to strengthen and improve its environmental management and services for the benefit of every kaprobinsiaan. One of our road to recovery is focused on intensifying our role to protect the gift of our natural nature.
To strengthen the local government unitsโ (LGUs) culture, arts and heritage conservation, promotion and development initiatives, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) headed by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel โPacoyโ R. Ortega III through the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO) โ Culture and Arts Section in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) conducted a 3-day Local Cultural Development Planning (LCDP) Workshop on June 8 โ 10, 2021 via video conferencing.

Pacoy ang pagbisita sa mga component LGUs upang agad na matugunan ang mga mahahalagang pangangailangan ng mga ito at upang matukoy ang mga proyekto na maaaring agarang ipatupad na makakatulong upang maitatag ang Stronger La Union.
