Affirming a continuing commitment towards a peaceful and orderly province, Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” Ortega III, represented by Governor-Elect Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David graced the simultaneous post-election pledge of support signing held at the Marangal Grandstand, Camp Diego Silang, Brgy. Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union this morning, June 6, 2022, to ensure a safer province after the conduct of National and Local Elections 2022.

Two youth performers from the Province of La Union – Jake Concepcion from the Municipality of Balaoan, and Gerald Casilla from the Municipality of Naguilian – are among the 11-member delegation who represented the Philippines in the 2022 Busan International Dance Festival in Busan, South Korea on June 3-5, 2022.

The Provincial Government of La Union through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) supervised the conduct of Rang-ay Bank Local Recruitment Activity (LRA) on June 1, 2022 at La Union Provincial Administrative & Commercial Building (LUPAC), Quezon Avenue, Barangay II, City of San Fernando, La Union. Employment opportunities during the LRA were audit staff, clerical staff, field staff, marketing officer and marketing staff.

OPAss Spearheads training on Digitalized Plotting and Mapping

The Office of the Provincial Assessor (OPAss) in collaboration with the Municipal Assessors League of La Union (MALLU) conducted a 2-day face-to-face training-workshop on Plotting and Mapping using the Enhanced Real Property Taxation System (ERPTS) and AutoCAD software on May 30 and 31, 2022 at Puerto de San Juan, Hotel Beach Resort, Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union.

To address issues and gaps along the implementation of RA No.9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act (JJWA) of 2006 as amended by RA No.10630 especially on handling Children-at-Risk (CAR) and Children-in-Conflict with the Law (CICL), a dialogue with the pillars of Juvenile Justice of La Union was conducted on May 31, 2022 at the La Union Bahay Pag-asa, Sta. Rita, Bacnotan, La Union.

𝗣𝗚𝗟𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗟𝗬𝗨 𝗜𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲-𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻

Upholding its commitment to provide educational assistance to the underprivileged but deserving students in the province, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) conducted on May 31, 2022 an online orientation to their existing qualified scholars under the La Union Education Assistance and Scholarship Program (LUEASP).
