With its strategic location and exit points, Bacnotan, La Union hosts the first ever regional evacuation center erected in the Philippines. The said municipality has met the criteria of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the venue of the Country’s First Regional Evacuation Center. The said facility will respond to the needs and comfort of evacuees during strong typhoons and calamities.
