The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) headed by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) conducted the Search for “The Orally Fit Child” and IP Modern Cultural Dance Competition on December 13, 2016 at the Provincial Capitol Parking Lot, City of San Fernando, La Union.

For the Search for Orally Fit Child (OFC), Day Care Children were given the chance to showcase their skills and talents. Finalists from different Day Care Centers in the province were judged through the OFC criteria that include healthy gums and absence of filled teeth, dental plaque and dento-facial anomaly that limits normal function. Winners were Althea B. Ofiana of Tubao who won the title and was also awarded as Ms. Winsome Smile; Hannah Leigh M. Bermudez of San Juan,1st runner up; Jean Hillary Calawagan of Sto. Tomas, 2nd runner up; Zamira Jamille Abuan of Naguilian, 3rd runner up; and Stephanie Jeyza Diazen of Sudipen landed 4th place who was also awarded as Best in Talent.
