The Rotary Club of San Fernando City North (La Union) in partnership with the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) headed by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III and other partner agencies and municipalities of the province launched the first Eco-Trail Adventure Race on November 29, 2016 at Riverfarm Seafood Restaurant, Bacnotan, La Union.

The said adventure race will happen on March 4, 2016 from Bacnotan, La Union to Tangadan Falls, San Gabriel, La Union.

According to Cesar D. Ocampo, Sr., Club President of Rotary Club of SFC-North the event aims to create public awareness in the preservation of ecology and to protect the flora and fauna of the Baroro river and its head stream in Tangadan Falls. It also aims to raise funds for community service projects of said Club and to promote the native balsa (bamboo raft) as a cheap mode of water recreation providing local employment.
