The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) led by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III in partnership with Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) conducted a two-day strategy validation workshop on Value Chain Mapping, VMV-Strategy Map and Scorecard Workshop cum Executive Legislative Development Advisory council Meeting on September 8-9, 2016 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The two-day workshop centered on Agri-tourism, the proposed strategic focus of the province. It also covered topics on construction of value chain maps of the identified prospective tourism sites and proposed strategy map and governance charter for the Provincial Government. Activities of the program was also geared towards the alignment of Local Government Units (LGUs) in the Transformative Governance Agenda of PGLU together with the proposed vision of becoming the Heart of Agri-tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
