As mandate to transformative governance, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) as represented by Governor Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III turns over a parcel of land to Department of Education (DepEd City Schools Division of San Fernando as represented by Dr. Fatima R. Boado, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent on November 24, 2017 at La Union National Highschool (LUNHS), City of San Fernando, La Union.

“If giving that land is meant for development in the education sector then I am willing to give you that land,“said Gov. Pacoy.
The whole school lot being occupied by La Union National Highschool which PGLU donated to DepEd is situated in Catbangen, City of San Fernando, La Union with a land area of around 56,497 sqm. This includes the oval which serves as great venue for track and field and for national competitions being held in in the province.

In his message Gov. Pacoy reinforces the educators with the administration’s vision to make La Union the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025 which according to him, will only be realize through the harmonizing ardor and diligence of teachers, School Division Supervisors and Department Heads. As part of the advocacy to promote transformation, Gov. Pacoy extends his earnest desire and commitment, in behalf of his father, past Governor Manuel “Manoling” Ortega.

“Agyamanak ti ayat ken suporta iti ulmili agraman ti panangayat ni Apo Manoling kadakayo amin,” said Gov. Pacoy.
In line with this, Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III looks forward to all endeavors and future engagements of PGLU and DepEd. He assured that the administration will continue to support DepEd’s programs and advocacies.
