The province of La Union strengthened its tourism and marketing promotion by participating in the North Philippines Tourism and Travel Expo 2017 (NorthPhilExpo) on November 17-19 at SM City Clark Event Center, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

The NorthPhil Expo 2017, which formally launched its 10th year with theme “Sustainable Tourism: A Tool for Development“ has participated in by corporate local government units (LGUs), provincial businesses and enterprises from Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region and Central Luzon.

The tourism booth of La Union showcased its Agri-Tourism Treasures, One Town One Province (OTOP) and other Income Generating Projects (IGPs) of the province as well as various tourist destinations highlighting its potentials to become competitive and dynamic as it revamp towards the ASEAN global market.

In support to the government’s thrust of public and private partnership, the fair is a harmonizing effort of the Department of Tourism (DOT), Association of Tourism Officers of Central Luzon, Inc. (ATOCEL), Philippine Exhibits and Themeparks Corporation (PETCO) and the North Philippines DOT Regional Offices.

The said exhibit is a one-stop-shop showcasing local products, travel destinations and services. Moreover, corporate booths which offer affordable tour packages and trader’s booth that sells arts, crafts, souvenirs and regional delicacies were also present. Among others, there are North Phil Expo Quiz Bee Challenge, corporate game shows, raffle draws, cultural presentations and fashion show which made the event a fun filled experience to the guests and visitors.

NorthPhil Expo is an event staging both a travel promotion and consumer marketing catering to both foreign and domestic market held every November of each year.
