The National Statistics Month, in celebration of its 28th Anniversary formally launches where Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III led the ceremonial ribbon cutting on October 4, 2017 at the La Union Pasalubong Center, Mabanag Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.

To exhibit various local products of each Municipality, in cooperation with the Philippine National Police (PNP), PNP vehicles were decorated with ornaments, crops, proudly Iloko woven garments and wooden accessories as entry for search of Best PNP Float through motorcade with tarpaulins of National Statistics Month Celebration theme “Kinapudno ken Pigura para iti Masakbayan: Estadistika para iti Desision a Naikugnal iti Ebidensya nga Agturong iti Ambisyon Natin 2040.”


The Province of La Union celebrates the 28th National Statistics Month pursuant to Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Memorandum Circular 2017-12 issued to all government agencies, private sectors including Local Government Units in the region.

To attain its objective, PrSCC headed the exhibit of Statistical Information on Statistics displayed in La Union Pasalubong Center, Mabanag Building in front of the plaza open for public viewing.

Among the activities scheduled were Tree Planting Activity, Statistical competitions to be participated in by the students of the secondary and tertiary schools, Statistics Training for Statisticians and designates of the LGUs, and Symposium on Statistics.

With this, the 28th NSM Celebration awarding of prizes to winners to Provincial Champions/ La Union’s Representatives to the NSM Regional Competitions will be held on October 24, 2017.

“Perhaps, the only thing statistics cannot measure is love, We love La Union and everything we do is for the Love of La Union. The soft partner to the hard number is our passion and inspiration. The crafting of our vision is a fusion of the heart and mind,” said Gov. Pacoy.

Moreover, PrSCC Chairman Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III strengthens its commitment to instill awareness and appreciation to the importance of planning and decision making to various sectors of society as well to elicit support from the public in upgrading quality and standards of such.
